1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are text files placed on your computer or mobile device to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. Different cookies have different purposes: there are essential or necessary cookies and non-essential cookies (functional, analytical and targeting cookies).

2. PURPOSE AND USE OF COOKIES
Arthroclinic uses essential cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the website, to identify any errors & to remember technical choices (for example, a your choice of language, etc.). We also use optional analytics cookies to improve the website and optimize your visit.
3. TYPES OF COOKIES USED BY ARTHROCLINIC
We use the following types of cookies:
a. Essential cookies:
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be refused, as they are required for your device and our website to communicate. Essential cookies never store personal information: you cannot be
identified as a user, all information is anonymous.
If you still prefer to block these essential cookies, you can do so by disabling the cookies in your browser settings – see section 4 below. However, this may affect how the website functions and we cannot guarantee a smooth browsing session when essential cookies are disabled.
b. Analytical cookies:
These cookies allow us to visit and track website traffic so that we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They collect analytical information about how you behave on the website during your visit. The cookies collect information in a way that does not directly identify anyone. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and how
visitors move through the site.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect visitor statistics to further improve the site. A data processing agreement has been concluded with Google for this. Data exchange with other Google services is disabled and IP addresses are anonymized. In addition to declining all cookies, if you prefer to completely block the Analytics script, you can download an opt-out plugin for Google Analytics here. With this plugin, your visit no longer counts in the statistics of all websites that use Google Analytics.
4. MANAGEMENT OF COOKIES
When you first visit Arthroclinic’s website, we ask you to select your cookie preferences. No cookies are dropped in your browser by default, unless and until you accept them, (except for essential cookies, strictly necessary
for operating the website).
To accept all cookies, select ‘Accept all cookies’. If you later change your mind, you can update your preferences at any
time by navigating to the Cookie Policy section on the website, and selecting ‘Adjust the cookies’ from the left hand navigation and then ‘Decline All’ or select the specific cookie types you wish to refuse. We immediately stop using the cookies, and all associated personal data processing, the moment you update these preferences.
To choose which cookies you accept/refuse, select ‘Adjust the cookies’ and then select the toggle for the cookie types that you accept/leave unselected for those you refuse.
To decline all cookies, select ‘Adjust the cookies’ and then ‘Decline all cookies’. Only essential cookies will then be used.

In browser - Mozilla Firefox
- Click the menu button and choose "Preferences".
- Select the "Privacy & Security" panel and go to the "History" section.
- Next to "Firefox will" set to "Use custom settings for history".
- Set "Accept third-party cookies" to "Never".
- Close the "about: preferences" page. Changes you have made are automatically saved.
In browser - Google Chrome
- Select "More Settings" from the browser toolbar.
- Select the "Advanced" option at the bottom of the page.
- Under 'Privacy and security' select the option "Content settings".
- Select ‘Cookies’.
- Disable "Allow sites to store and read cookie data."
In browser - Safari
- Choose "Preferences" from the task menu. (The task menu is located at the top right of the Safari window and looks like a gear or click "Safari" in the extended task menu.)
- Click on the Privacy tab. Find the section called "Cookies and other website data"
- Please indicate that you do not accept cookies.
In browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer
- In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button and select Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab and under Settings move the slider up to block all cookies. Click on OK.

5. RIGHTS OF VISITORS (aka data subjects)
Since cookies can be a processing of personal data, you as a data subject are entitled to the lawful and safe processing of these personal data. As a data subject, you can exercise the following rights:
- Right to withdraw consent: where we have previously asked your consent to process personal data (such as for cookies on our website) you have a right to request us to stop processing your personal data, at any time that you change your mind. See section 4 on how to revoke consent to cookies directly from our website.
- Right of access: Every data subject who proves his identity has a right of access to the information about the existence or non-existence of processing of his personal data, as well as the purposes of this processing, the categories of data to which these processing operations relate and the categories of recipients to whom the data are provided.
- Right to correction: Inaccurate or incomplete personal data can always be corrected or even erased at the request of the person concerned.
